Problems connecting to facebook and yahoo! Google and Youtube work fine. Is there any web site where sites that are slow or not working are listed?  This is a constant problem for me that certain sites are frequently inaccessible from my exit connection, but friends nearby with other providers can connect them without problems.  Why is my exit service so inconsistent?  What can I do to get on Facebook I have been unable for several days now.

This is a known problem with the DNS server on Facebook (and also Yahoo sites) and Exede. I had the problem a few days ago, as have other people. Mine was fixed and the technicians know about it and are working on it for the other gateways. Some on the forums that were having issues have said theirs have been fixed too, while others are still having issues. Be patient.

It is good to confirm that the problem is known.  Do I need to put in a service request for my particular connection or will the problem be adressed for all exede users?

Village Boffin,
This is a known issue and it will be addressed for all Exede customers experiencing this problem.

Are we going to be refunded for all the time that we weren't able to actually use the internet?

I have been having the same problem with Facebook and Yahoo.  The Excede repair person told me I must have a virus.  What is the problem?  Does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing?

Medetta,
It would be good to run an anti-virus scan, just for good measure. As far as the DNS server issue goes, this is projected to be resolved by the 31st(Sat). As Michael previously stated, it is taking some time to get every customer who was affected back up and running but I can assure you we are working very hard to fix this asap!

I am still having problems with yahoo and facebook, especially trying to connect to games on facebook.. Using firefox as browser.  I know it is not my computet, just had it in to see if I had gotten a virus or something, came out clean.  Been having this problem for about a month.

Cindy,

Yahoo, per the discussion on the older, far better, message board, is a yahoo issue. and nothing that exede can do anything to fix.  Yahoo has had nothing but issues for more than a month now since the heartbleed bug, and seem to have continued issues.  The yahoo issue with exede seems to be due to the satellite latency that yahoo has neglected to take into account when they made the big swith from http to https.

As for facebook games, make sure your flash plug-in is up to date. Those games run using flash, and if you are using an older version, it may make some games not work well, or not at all.  Also, if you are using a flash blocker, to prevent videos on facebook from loading automatically, that will also prevent those flash games from loading automatically, you will need to manually select them to load each and every time you want to play them.
