Problems all week around 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM with DNS Not Resolving or Pages Not Fully Loading

This whole week between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM or thereabouts I am having constant problems with resolving DNS for sites, pages not loading or other miscellaneous strangeness.   Up until yesterday I attributed it to the fact I was on Liberty Pass, however my billing cycle renewed yesterday and I have had the same issue yesterday and now tonight.

I know I am not alone as I have seen at least on other person in our area post regarding the same problems.  We are both on Beam 329.  Just wondering what is going on?  I can send a support request in, however I think it affects more people than just me so can one of the Exede mods just check with their engineering department and see if there is something occurring in that time frame that might cause this?

Hey there, Brian--and I had the same problem again tonight, except mine was more intermittent, not just between 8 and 9pm...I kept hitting patches of time where I would suddenly not be able to get a page to load...or any page if I tried switching to something else....for a little while...then FINALLY it would load and things would be ok for a while, till it happened again for a few minutes.

As we discussed elsewhere, this is simply not a problem I ever remember having with any regularity until xmax day and the day after xmas, when it went on for HOURS like that...and since then it has become an intermittent problem which lasts for me for a few minutes at a time.

I was having similar, sporadic symptoms during peak usage periods up until a week or so ago. They appear to have subsided since I disabled QOS on my network adapter (while also ensuring that QOS was still disabled on my router, which I've always done), as well as disabling TCP autotuning and heuristics. Not sure whether those have any real impact or not and am only surmising that they don't play well with Exede's Accelenet Client/Server technology.

It may be just my imagination but things do seem to be running snappier and more smoothly overall. Perhaps simple coincidence.

Might be worth a shot for those technically inclined and try at your own risk.

I'd provide specific instructions but best to investigate, evaluate, understand the geek speak above and how to revert back to prior settings if needed.

YMMV and Bing/Google is your friend.

Still intermittently having the problem with pages not loading unless I reload them a few times...takes about as long for those pages to load as dialup, or longer in some cases....the message on the page that doesn't load is usually "timed out"....

So when that happened this eve, I immediately started a speed test...well, as immediately as I could get the speedtest webpage to load, which wasn't THAT fast....

and the speedtest measured at:  5.11/0.23 (today at 9:22pm)

Within a few minutes of this time, web pages began to load more normally again...

Would that VERY low upload speed be causing any of the problem with pages not loading? I wouldn't think so, but the download speed certainly isn't a problem...

So maybe this new, but ongoing in the past few weeks, problem is not related to speed....?
