Once again the coastal U.S. has a big hurricane bearing down on it, so here's a quick update from our network guys about your internet service:
Viasat does not have any of our big antenna ground stations in the path of the storm, so any outages you might experience will likely be related to heavy rains or the dish on your home getting blown off alignment. Our outside equipment is designed to handle very high winds, but Irma sounds like a doozy. After the storm passes, you should inspect your dish to see if it looks OK. If you notice your service has degraded, give us a call so we can check to see if there's an alignment issue. 855-463-9333. If your dish has been destroyed or damaged due to wind or water, give us a call at that number when you can and we'll work with you to take care of the situation.
We want to offer our best hopes that all of our many Exede (and WildBlue) customers in the area emerge from the storm safely.
