Potential new customer - Streaming question

I'm going to be moving to area code 75454 and see that Viasat offer's the 12mbps and 30mbps Unlimited plans. The problem I see is that the streaming of video is tied to specific tiers. I have a 120" screen and feel 720P is not high-def enough to make it enjoyable to watch. Is Viasat coming out with a 1080 plan or is there a way to get around being locked into a specific streaming resolution? The unlimited plans seems nice except the the locking of the streaming quality.

Viasat2, the new satellite, has a plan with 1080P available. The plans for Viasat2 are currently being rolled out over the next two weeks, and may not have arrived in your area yet. Keep checking the website to see if it becomes available for you.

Or let me resell it to you ;)

I get goosebumps thinking what it will be like if I weren't so cheap and just payed for a service call:

I'm subject to signal loss with just a sparrow passing by. I'm driving it until it drops or better plans are available. I shouldn't even be "on the line" but if it ain't broke don't fix it and suspect I'm not really dealing with a precision instrument here in the modem.

Here's my speed test from testmy.net using a 25MB file test.....  I have the Freedom 150 plan @12Mbps.

It's 5:15pm here and I just got 13.1 Mbps on my Unlimited 12 plan. I use to get lower than 12 around this time of day. Mornings I will usually see 17-18. Prime time I get 1-5, but that may be higher now, I haven't checked it in about a month as I usually am in bed by 8-9 PM.

So much for the "never" theory but so far technically correct ;)

I'm 75437, so we're practically neighbors!

I'm happy with my "legacy" silver plan and am not planning to switch.

I don’t think I can purchase the “legacy” I only see the unlimited plans. Out of curiosity what speeds are you getting?
