Ok, Viasat, PLEASE, Explain. We pay for 150gb’s of “high speed” internet. Not once during the month of January have I been able to stream a movie/show/video without constant stuttering & buffering, WTH !! Had the “cust service” on the phone lastnite. He spent the 1st 5 mins of the call trying to sell us stuff we already told him we were not interested in. Basically told us that our service was as good as it’s gonna get. While he was telling us that we were only at 119gb’s of our 150, and that there should be NO PROBLEM. Finally he stated that he would try to do a “reboot” from his end & promptly disconnected the call before we could even respond. The reboot did no good, and I get an immediate email telling me we were at 100% of our high speed data !! How is that even possible ?! Not a happy customer !! Please, give us some resolve.

Good morning Tim,

I'm on the Silver 25 plan and I've never hit 20 mbps, day time, 8 or 9, nite usually about 2 to 3.

I just checked my speeds, down 17.2 up 2.5, this would support 1080 streaming without buffering but other than a few you tubes or a long jazz concert on you tube i generally just record shows from DTV on demand and watch them over the next few days.

Don't expect the speeds that i listed today as the norm, I don't.  It does verify to me that my old, old, old  installation and equipment are working well but during the heavy demand times it slows down, like the highways during afternoon rush hours.

With V2 on line, that will put another super highway out there and the demand/traffic will be better served,  move faster until/unless they over sell the capacity of both V1 and V2.

I am responding because today is the last day of my data period, I've used 120.9 Gig, and kept 7 computers updated, used, teach on the internet and recorded the entire Sopranos series, quality is good to very good and while real time, streaming would be nice, for now i don't think you can count on it.

Take some readings, speed tests, on off hours, confirm that your system is installed correctly so you know the numbers, if the numbers are good, then you just have to have some patience until V2 is online and some of the burden gets shifted.

If the numbers are not good, then schedule a service, but first make sure you are enrolled in the service plan.
