Hi, I just "upgraded" to a silver plan w/ boost. Frankly, it sucks. My old Liberty plan was much cheaper and just as slow. What gives? I should be getting better than 10 Mbs download, but only getting 0.5 Mbs download. I checked last night during prime time and this morning at 6:30 am. Definitely not worth the $$$

Are you connecting wirelessly (WiFi) vs wired (Ethernet) to the new Exede WiFi modem? If wirelessly, try wired and if there's a dramatic difference for the better - there's a solution that can be used - extending it with a more capable WiFi router.

If there's no difference and still slow (shouldn't be .5 Mbps at 0630), your best bet would be to go through one of the formal support channels to narrow it down - there's little for us to go on here at the customer-to-customer seld-help self-help community, and the above is just a guess but you'll get some additional guesses.

Hi Diane,  I'm sorry to here your speeds are slow.  Please send an email to exedelistens@viasat.om with your account and contact information.  There are many things that cause slow speeds including a beam at capacity, number of people in the household using the internet, or equipment.  Thanks Exede Diana

Connected both wired and wifi.  Got as much as 15 Mbs, but dropped down immediately.  I'm currently using Exede's wifi router/ modem. Even before the upgrade,  It's been slow lately. I was blaming my Liberty Pass speed so thought I'd move to more data.  The speeds are exactly the same--sometimes good, mostly not. I'm in SE NC if that makes a difference.
