Buyer beware!!! If you don’t have to use Viasat, please don’t. I cannot post the background of issues I’ve had with this company. I’ll just say, Viasat owes me $315.90 which has not been refunded. Beware that they will bill your payment method even after they have concluded you owe them nothing. I’ve spend hours on the customer service line with someone somewhere telling me they are sorry but have yet to fix the issue. Your customer service will never get better and you will not be helped. I was a customer with them for over 5 years and I can honestly say this is the worst company I have ever dealt with! Please keep all your records. When you cancel you’re service BEWARE!!!! Keep the tracking number from UPS!! They lie to you and say they did not receive your equipment. Wherever their customer service people are located don’t talk to the people in the US (where you send the equipment) to even recognize that it has been received. TRUST ME PLEASE THIS COMPANY WILL DO EVERYTHING TO GIVE YOU THE BRUSH OFF AND TRY TO MILK YOU FOR EVERY LAST DIME. I don’t want to hear of anyone having to go through what I am going through right now! This has been a almost two month battle with this company. THEY DO NOTHING!!!!

I returned my equipment and cancelled without issue. While I’m not a fan of the internet service Viasat provided me, I never had a billing issue. Agree though that outsourcing first tier customer service was a mistake.

I wonder if Viasat's equipment returns go to a 3rd party contractor? If so that explains all the complaints about returned equipment. I didn't have any problem sending mine back, maybe I was lucky. I did keep the tracking and take a picture before closing the box. I am assuming they charged you for unreturned equipment guessing by the disputed amount.

I believe some people just don’t get it done in 30 days.

Just to clarify. My issues began the day of cancellation and have not been rectified. I have consistently tracked and communicated with Viasat. I’ve called multiple times and emailed. Just know that when you call the customer service center they have no idea you have communicated with someone via email and they are not automatically linked to the return center. Make sure you keep records and stay on top of every issue. I even received a confirmation to verify a refund within 7 to 14 days! Guess what-NO REFUND! PLEASE PLEASE STAY ON TOP OF EVERYTHING REGARDING VIASAT AND IT’S SERVICES!!!! If not they will attempt to garner your money!

Maybe I missed something. How do issues begin the day of cancellation? Unless they kept billing you for service, all the phone center does is confirm cancellation and mail a return box.

I think it is another case they couldn't verify the return.

There sure seems to he a lot of problems when people cancel this service.

What plan are you on and how much priority data have you used for your current billing cycle?
