Plan upgrade questions

I am currently on the Excede 12 - 15 GB plan and would like some information on switching to a Liberty plan.

Can I assume that the Excede plan is no longer offered and so I would not be able to switch back to this plan?
If I upgrade to a SpeedBoost plan will I need new equipment? If so, will I need to schedule a visit from a service rep?

The answer to the first two questions is yes. The classic plans are no longer offered if they are not showing as options so you would not be able to switch back and yes you will need new equipment for the speed boost option. I think it is just a modem swap you can do yourself, but I am not sure so someone else may have to answer that last question.

I'm on Liberty 30. Too bad higher data plans aren't offered. But I think exede's data meter is rigged BIG TIME!

Install a robust traffic monitoring application on all of your devices... you may see things differently.

For Windows, I recommend GlassWire - https://www.glasswire.com/

It's easy enough to use for just about anybody.

Data usage is indeed rigged, but not by ViaSat.

I have the Liberty 18 coming from a classic 25 GB plan, just went on the Liberty Pass. My speed test is 6.98 down and 1.19 up. I am very happy with these speeds when on the Liberty pass, I can still stream movies from Netflix and Amazon. I think you will be happy with a Liberty plan.

Hi Chris, as Brian has mention, if Liberty is available to your area then the existing plan that you’re on more than likely does not exist anymore. Once you have upgraded you do not have the option to go back to your Exede 12-15GB plan. The best option for would be to visit your personal portal at myexede.com and see if we are offering the speed boost to your area as of yet. You would only see this option once you choose to upgrade your package online.
