Plan Upgrade Billing Question

Hello! I'm trying to figure something out. I have the Liberty 10 Package. My total bill with all my fee's which include $59.99 for service plus $9.99 lease fee and $5.99 for easy care come to $76/month. My bill is due on the 16th of each month. I have used all my data and am in Liberty pass but it has lately become unbearably slow at all times of the day so I have been looking into the Freedom 12 plan which is now available in my area.

My Question is, if I were to switch now, how much will I be billed for swtiching to Freedom now? Would it be just the difference between my current plan and the new plan? If so that would only add $40 to the next bill. I know if I were to switch now come the 16th of August I would be billed a month of Freedom so $99 + lease $10 + easy care $5.99 so my new normal recurring bill would be about $116.

Now, if it's $116 plus say that $40 in difference between a plan switch that puts me at $156 one time for next months bill. I can handle that if that's how this works. What I cannot handle is a bill next month that would be $200 or more including Freedom fee's for this month plus next month as I'm on a fixed income. I need an idea what I should expect to pay next month if I were to switch now and if now isn't a good time to switch to avoid extra high charges when would be the best time for me to make the switch?

I hope you understand my question

I would call, however someone will respond here too I'm sure. Partial month changes has always been prorated on my bill. A different plan will not change your speeds though.

We have the Essential 10 plan, and I have always taken advantage of the free zone time between 3 and 8 AM to download updates, shows on Netflix etc., and speeds are very fast during those hours, however during peak usage hours it can slow way down.

Privatejordy is correct. When we bill it's always for the month in advance so should any plan changes happen you'll see the prorated credit or charge on the next invoice. It's 100% dependent on the day you change. So with about a week into the bill you can base what you'll pay on how many days between when you make the change and when the bill generates Aug 15th. If you can afford the prorated charge, just given the limited availability of the Freedom plan currently it might be worth pouncing on the offer while it's out. These plans pop up every once in a while so we can't promise it'll be available mid-August if you wait...but depending on beam it may still be there.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Freedom Plan now while it's available. I wish I had some idea what I'll be having to pay next month. I'm going to budget $200 for next month's bill and hope that covers the switch. If It doesn't I'm in deep you know what.

For what it's worth, I hate how Exede handles billing. My Phone Carrier (Verizon) breaks everything down and tells me well in advance what I will be paying on my next bill. I don't have to guess, hope and pray I have enough to cover my plan changes the minute the bill generates.
