As the topic says. i gots an email saying this

do you guys think viasat is going to slow everyones speeds down that are on viasat-1 then boost the speeds for everyone on viasat-2??? or do you think viasat is forcing people who are on the grandfather plans and there speeds are degrated and make them switch to viasat-2???

what are your guys thoughts???

P.S.!!! call it a huntch... but... i gots a gut feeling viasat is going to REALLY degrade peoples speeds... OR!!! just take some speeds off other beams and leave boost the other beams up and leaving the other beams in the dust... i gots a REAL INTENSE GUT FEEELING... BUT!!! gut feelings can be wrong on so many levels... BUT!!! my spiritual gift has already let me kniw about some stuff... (if you do not believe in God giving gifts to people like spiritual gifts... that is fine :3 everyone has there own beliefs :3 and i respect peoples beliefs :3 )

Well I certainly dont believe 25Mbps is the median speed. That sounds ludicrous. Note it is the median, not the average. There is a difference.

I think this language change is to give them more legal coverage against people who attack plan speeds.

Its been my experiance that Viasat does pretty much what they damned well like regaurdless of customer plans etc...i had the 150 unlimited and after multiple attempts to get me to what they claim was an upgrade refused to do because i was completely satisfied with what i had, it wasnt till i moved that they used it as an excuse to down grade me on Data and speeds..since then ive not once seen a speed of 25...and i refuse to purchase additional data ehen out because frankly i get better speeds on my mobile verizon mobile hotspot on my phone...oh yes another thing they made me start OVER AGAIN ON THE FAMOUS 24 MONTH LOCK IN (WAS A TOTAL RIP OFF AND LOAD OF CRAP).

Are you saying you havent seen a median speed of 25Mbps???

And yes, it is hard to convey sarcasm in a post but those policy updates Deku shared really have to make you wonder.

Other than prime time i am normally well above 25 Mbps, never hit 50 (48.5 is the highest) but 35 plus is pretty normal, even prime time has been 12 plus and Fast is 1 or 1.1 all the time.

I think that what i have been experiencing is just about what OP's posted email indicates.

I have no issues, last 2 months this is the best service i have ever received.

Since i teach on the internet this has been a welcome and appreciated improvement.

If things change i'll post it.
