Early termination fee

I had it installed on Monday and by Wednesday knew it was all bad. Then Customer "Care" wants to charge me another UNDISCLOSED fee for "early termination" of an add on package of voice of $50.00 after already charging me $29.99 on a service advertised to be $19.99 a month for the first six (6) months aside from the nearly $9.00 a month is taxes, fees and surcharges I asked about before agreeing to take their service which by the way their "Customer Care" agent denied those same charges were valid even on direct specific and particular questioning. After NOW reading the other problem posts I am very happy my Credit Card company is on my side. Once the "pending" charges become actual charges they will be barred from billing my card and the CHASE will file all disputed charges and govern themselves according to my directions. Oh also this company now wants me to keep their voice module aside from the $50.00 early termination fee for a voice service which has/had NO TIME requirements affixed when agreed to.

Diana,

You deleted my post to Dan.

My post was factually based and not offensive in any definition.

I resent your censorship of open ideas in this community forum, when all rules were followed.

Have a nice Mothers Day weekend.

Understood, but I filed with the FCC under unfair and deceptive trade practices, My Credit Card company stands with me and we've fought and won very similar cases against the USPS and Cricket are just a couple. But truly I thank you for the heads up even if Diana didn't... How do you know she is a mother for that matter how would you know, today, that she isn't a he?

So you do this a lot?  Maybe you need to start understanding what your agreeing to before you buy.  Remember the old saying... "Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me."
(I think that's from an old Star Trek show.)  But it sounds like your the type who never thinks it's your fault, always someone else's.

So you're admitting that you as a company employ deception as a trade practice or are you implying that the person who calls the cops is always wrong, because the FCC is the cop in charge of Communication and States Attorney General's enforce consumer laws as well as in this state Agricultural Commissioner(s). So beam me up Scotty it is obvious there is no intelligent life forms down here. At the end of the day we will see right from wrong not through rose colored glasses either.

These people/employees reply to one another's posts. Even the "free" "courtesy" Customer "Care" plan isn't worth the $0.00 so who is going to pay the $5.99 [plus taxes] to be further disrespected, I ask...

"Keep in mind that people who routinely threaten baseless lawsuits are often just adult versions of playground bullies. They are mad at you, and instead of taking their anger out in a healthy, mature way, or working things out like considerate adults, they want to scare you by making you believe they have the weight of the legal system behind them. They want you to lay awake at night and worry. It gives them a sense of power. Keep this in mind, and do not let a threat worry you inordinately. Treat the threat the same way you would treat a child’s anger tantrum––stay calm, try to muster some sympathy for this obviously ill-adjusted person, let it blow over, and continue on with your life."

" Then Customer "Care" wants to charge me another UNDISCLOSED fee for "early termination""

Wow! talk about a useless complaint.

There are certain disclosures that are made at the time of the sales call. Those calls are recorded ... for a reason.

You can't swing a dead cat in the direction of a search engine without finding disclosures related to contract terms, promo pricing, plan offerings that are based upon data limits and finally disclaimers of 'up to' as to speeds.

Furthermore unless you opt out, your only recourse is through binding arbitration.

Anytime a prospective customer is entertaining entering into a contract costing more than pocket change it is incumbent upon themselves  to perform due diligence in determining if the product or service meets their needs and what the costs, terms and conditions of said product or service are.

I just don't understand the mindset of consumers that feel they need to complain to a government agency. A consumer should not have to have a disclaimer that coffee is hot or a label on a ladder telling them not to stand above a certain height.

It's enough to want to make a person complain to the NFL and bunch of other three letter agencies.

MOM, HELP!

You are very welcome but you are mistaken in one respect ... Mom is not busy. My Mom is dead.

Remember, reading is fundamental, comprehension is another matter.

He said he had the service for two days before he knew it was "all bad".  This guy couldn't wait to post about how he slays corporate dragons.  He has only 7 posts and they are all on this post. Not one post asking for help about his so called problem. He doesn't want any help on the HELP FORUM, he just wants to try and impress someone.  Heck, it takes me at least a week and a half to figure out if I like the new brand of underwear I bought.  Just wait, he will drop some big New York law firm name on us to try and impress people.  We have all seen these types before.  Since Wed. he has already "filed with the FCC under unfair and deceptive trade practices,".  For such an experienced defender of the law, he sure can't read a contract..." Thanks for straightening me out with all your newly discovered facts".  He obviously never looked at any facts that are found everywhere on the Exede site.

I'm going to sue Little Ceasars pizza. They advertise their $5 pizza as being "Hot n Ready" with no wait. I usually have to wait at least five minutes for them to make a pizza every time I order one.

Typically, mine are sitting there waiting for me when I walk through the door during non-peak usage periods  - regardless they taste about as stale as this 10 month old conversation (and perhaps that's why they're always hot and ready sitting under a heat lamp for 10 months - no it's some kind of warmer, not a heat lamp, I was thinking about the heat lamp hot dogs at the chain convenience store - yum).
