I signed up for exede internet at the end of November to the 12 gig data, 25mb download speedImage: https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net.... I then noticed that this was not going to be enough data after about 2 weeks of usage. I then upgraded to the silver plan and had to wait for almost a month and half to get the new modem that was required to use with this plan. During the use of the new silver plan I then experienced buffering and choppy pictures and this is at $100 dollar a month!! I upgrade to the gold 30 download speed and unlimited data plan at 160+ dollars a month and still I am experiencing buffering and choppy pictures....?! I don't understand how they can charge so much for such poor quality internet service... I never had this problem with century link. I was unable to attach my vudu test speed but it said I can only watch movies at 480 SD I was told with the current gold 30 I could watch HD 720 my connection never goes past 1.2 upload speed. I try to stream sling tv and it still buffers and pauses even hardwired to my router which is also hardwired to my modem. I just want out of this terrible plan and should not be locked into a contract with something that does not deliver what it says it's going to.

I agree! I'm a week into Excede and it's horrible. I dumped Centurylink to go with Excede. Huuuuuuggggeeee mistake!! There is so much they don't tell you. We used 60gb (unlimited plan) within one week (normal use) Nexflix is very bad picture (480p). Their customer service has "canned" responses. I'm out!!

I never switched to century link, I had centurylink before and it was 35 dollars a month for almost 4 to 5 mb upload speeds and a lot more reliable than this internet is for 160+ dollars a month. Also the bottom line is if your upload speed if it is not 2MB or faster you will never get HD quality tv, this has been my experience with exede so far.

Your upload speed does not affect the quality of video you are downloading to your computer.

If you try to send video to the internet, it might, sure.

I upgraded my plan to the gold 30 and still have buffering issues with sling tv and choppy pictures with netfilx, hulu ect... Not sure why I was told I would have better luck with this with this plan?

Because their job is to upsale. They actually have no working knowledge of the service.

Hi BradLee - I had bad experience with SlingTV-- buffer, watch 3 seconds, buffer, watch 6 seconds, buffer, rinse, repeat. Luckily I was on the trial subscription so I dropped it like a smelly sponge. I've had the best luck with Netflix and Amazon Prime and decent performance from Hulu. Recently, even CBSNews was streaming nicely.

Has anyone been able to successfully use SlingTV (or Yahoo or Hulu Live) successfully using Satnet?

Sling TV seems to have issues like this.  Live TV in general is very hard to stream unless you have gobs of speed and a very solid connection.  I'm afraid satellite internet is not up to that task right now.  It appears lots of internet services aren't up to it either......https://www.google.com/search?q=sling%20TV%20buffers

But yet when 30,000 feet in the air I have no problem watching live TV off the internet. So it is doable. Now are all the resources available to do it, that is the question.

I love reading these complaints. Liberty 12 works perfect for everything I do.
