Whomever's account the label was generated on is responsible for filing a claim with UPS, don't let Viasat tell you any different. Glad you kept the tracking number. If it has been off the radar a month it is probably not going to show up. I have had packages reappear after disappearing for 10 days but that was the post office.

On a better note glad you found a better option than Viasat.

Why should a customer need to have a tracking number on a label generated by VIASAT? If you sent a label that is your job. Viasat is pathetic.

Because the original poster's identity on this forum is not tied to the poster's former account. By providing the Matt B with both the tracking number as well as the account number, it will assist Matt B in determining where the problem lies assuming the original poster would like a timely resolution. What would be pathetic is if Matt B had not reached out to the original poster to provide assistance in resolving the problem leaving only your response as "help". But what's really pathetic is your attempt to dissuade the original poster from reaching out to Matt B with additional info, apparently thinking it's going to magically fix itself.

Secondly, the moderators here aren't customer service reps, they are members of the social media team (read that as a marketing function) and have no right to pry into anyone's account at will - but can act on a subscriber's behalf if specifically requested. This is not a direct support forum. By contacting them at the email address provided with at least an account number, the original poster is providing them with the authorization to look into the account and situation on their behalf.

And yes this is a frequently occurring problem in dealing with Viasat's third parties responsible for administrative functions, leaving open the larger question of why it can't be corrected after all this time -  maybe the guy on the loading dock needs some remedial training on checking in returned equipment.
