Not happy with contract

Regardless of what anyone has been told in signing the dotted line it is about
that you have read the contract and understand you can get very little of
anything depending on the way the wind blows. It's all about understanding
that you may get data at a rate that is simply intolerable and thier is NOTHING that
you can do about it.  READ THE CONTRACT BEFORE YOU THINK THAT YOU
ARE OWED SOMETHING. My download speed is half of what I "thought i would get before i used up my plan data"  and sometimes less.

There are free network monitoring programs that give great reports and keep records of your speed.I haven't been able to get on enough to even do my banking. Now they have cut the "free" time (from 12AM to 5AM) back a little more each day. I have never gotten the advertised speed except with "burst rate". They have even started to re-boot my modem every hour or so in the free time. It can take up to 8 minutes to re-boot and sometimes it doesn't re-boot at all.
NetWorx and Net Uptime Monitor (I think NetUptime Monitor costs $9.00) I put up with this kind of stuff for 6 years at Clearwire. I kept records then but the ones I have now are much better than those. I've even recorded the time it took to sign on to their web page. I stopped at 6.5 minutes because the attorney said to keep the files smallish. He's the same attorney that I had for Clearwire...Shawn J. Wanta. They wound up paying me (about 40 months at $50 a month) $2000.
I called three times to tell them I was disabled and I had no TV or cable out here in the boonies , all I had was the internet. I used between 90GB to 100GB a month and they promised that after the Priority data was used up that it wouldn't go lower than 1MB service. I had to use .25mb at Clearwire so I would be happy with .500mb even. I don't mind waiting for YouTube videos to load and I only used the 2 lowest resolution settings so I wouldn't use to much bandwidth, I just played solitaire I between videos. They lied from the start.
Good luck, I gave up trying to talk to tech support, the last one I got was Indian with a very heavy accent. I didn't know they out-sourced tech support. The first thing he asked me was if my payment card # was up to date. Why was tech support in India looking at my financial info?
Sorry about the long winded message but it is frustrating to deal with people who treat you like a red headed step child and forget who pays thier salaries.
Good luck

This is the 2nd post I've seen this week complaining about off-shore, poor English skills, call centers. Exede once bragged about having all their call centers in the U.S. Has something changed? I do know they have now opened up a call center in Mexico. Also, I realize that if you get Exede thru DishNet you may get an off-shore call center. If they are doing this it is a very disappointing step backwards in customer service in my opinion.

wow! I am having the same problems and also down to .25  Even when my data for the month starts over again i get down to 2mbps when i signed up for 12mbps durning my normal data usage.   I wish i had read all the complaints before i signed up. good luck and I feel your pain. Apparently so do others !   In the beginning before I came to realize that I was trying to ride a dead horse  experienced the same problem with not being able to communicate because of the language barrier and simply resorted to hanging up immediately and redialing  when I sensed I would not be able to understand who I was talking to. What can I say....

Hello Gggrt,

I’m sorry for the slow speeds you’ve recently received. Please allow us to review your account information and figure what could be going on. If your account data has reset you should not be seeing slow speeds. Please send us your account and contact info to exedelistens@viasat.com. Thank you

If I could show you a screen capture
this is what I got 5 min after clicking on your reply email link:

nothing, (the page is blank)

After re-loading the page several times this is what came up:

"We did not find results for: mailto:exedelistens@viasat.com. Try the suggestions below or type a new query above." I didn't search anything, I just clicked on the link you provided. Eventually I just gave up that route and have answered here in public.

Most of the time I just get a message to kill or wait. The connection is good, its just that it is not responding fast enough.

I've talked to 3 or 4 supervisors, they are so defensive they act like you are trying to get something you don't deserve. You are treated like scum, talked over, rude and non-sympathetic. Even just plain common courtesy would be enough to get us to try to understand your view but as soon as they come on the line they start attacking us like we are robbers.

To bad "Drain the swamp" doesn't include non ethical business practices like selling more bandwidth than you have, on purpose.

At 1:04 I clicked on your link, at 1:09 I gave up. If I could get to that page I could show you the captures.

I forgot to tell the customers that Net Up-time Monitor also keeps a time verified log of the time you are online and offline. You'd be surprised at the amount of time, the frequency of times and the lengths of time you are not online.

that took from 1:04 until 2:23 , had to verify my info after I clicked on submit. To be fair, half of the time was typing my comments but still, that is an impossible rate to even check your email at.

Hi Sharon,

You can copy exedelistens@viasat.com and pull up your email to email a message to that email and it'll come to us in the corporate office. I think for some reason your broswer took that as a website link to give you that error or you weren't logged into an email client. But copy the email address and send us an email there and we'll be able to hear you out
