Mine was down for a few hours early Sunday morning.  Modem went to 'scan' and stayed there.  Came back up on it's own.  I assumed there was an issue with my spot beam and that perhaps they took it down O dark 30 to work on it but don't know for sure.  What would be good is if exede had a real time site to show ongoing outages but then again affected customers wouldn't have a way to be notified unless if they had a text notification service you could opt in for.  That way if there was an outage on a specific spot beam or planned maintenance they could text customers it would effect.  Would be great from a customer relations standpoint and that way you wouldn't have to wonder if you are the one with a problem or if it was more system wide.

Hi Doug, I surely understand your frustrations. Please understand when these outages arise unexpectedly within our network there can be many customers affected; some outages may ascend without warning, we do not have the capability of sending out mass emails to every customer every time this occurs, we greatly appreciate your patience thank you for being a valued customer.
