Ok i just did another speed test 0.22 download 0.90 upload are they trying to make me buy more data. It would be better to downgrade to a liberty plan that way I would have liberty pass.

i dont have no problem with my speeds :3 but yet if ya need to call exede you can contact them via email or phone number :3 maybe ya need to realign your dish like mine did :3 also i have about.... 12mbps to 15mbps download and 1-3 mbps download.... most of the time (execpt when its peek hours then its usually down...) but yet ive had no problems whatsoever (also execpt when the network is congested also) also it could be what your running in the background of your computer or maybe too many devices connected to your network that could also slow down your internet also...

but yeah ive had been with exede 1 year and been onto the freedom plan AND I LOVE IT!!! <3

P.S. also the speeds are ESTIMATES when you sign up... they ARENT garentee at all... it just depends on where your at also... so yeah also  its megabit per seconds... NOT megabits.... so yeah hope this was helpful!!! :3

Freedom plans have a much more restrictive bandwidth usage policy than Liberty - it's much more akin to getting dapped under the old classic plans (even those were minimally usable albeit very painful under DAP) . The Freedom bandwidth usage policy is at:

http://www.exede.com/documents/master/bandwidth-usage-policy.pdf

Despite stating "Your web and email speeds may not be slower" that really depends on your beam's current utilization.

Web and email speeds are in fact slower but a number of factors can impact actual usability (including actual web site design with all of the bloat in today's web sites). I also think that when they say email they are referring to a desktop or device based email client using lighter weight protocols than a browser based emial client. IMHO, the policy is just meant to ensure you have a minimally usable lifeline when exceeding your allowance.

The same has occurred to me on Liberty Pass during peak usage hours. Liberty does provide a better bandwidth usage policy (1 - 5 Mbps) if you have the luxury of shifting usage to non-primetime hours. It's a choice of how much data allowance you want vs. how much you suffer when going over.

P.S. For me even when on Liberty pass during peak hours, web browsing remains usable - largely due to my eliminating most of the useless bloat and cruft appearing today's web sites - less waste of my little bit shared bandwidth during those times.

Regardless of data used, upload speed should be constant and not that low. I wonder if something else is going on. I would contact customer service and see if something else might be impacting your speeds.

That's how the Freedom Plan is and exceeding the 150 GB on a regular basis may lead to you being asked to reduce usage or switch plans. Per the Customer Agreement.  On Page 7 here: http://www.exede.com/documents/master/customer-agreement.pdf

Barry, send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com. Include your account number, phone number and a brief description similar to what you posted above. The moderators are ViaSat employees at the corporate offices. They have some great tools available to them, and can see if you are having equipment problems or need your dish to be repositioned.

There's not a Liberty Pass on the Freedom plan. A lot of it has to do with how the Freedom Plan completely dwarfs a lot of the plans below it and most users generally do not go past 150GB. So it's more restrictive than Liberty once you go over but we do have the option to buy more. Of course like Steve's reply suggests. we can review to make sure something isn't causing the data to drain if you email us at exedelistens@viasat.com

Did I say something I wasn't supposed to? I noticed my post was deleted.

Maybe. As an Exede dealer you have access to confidential info and may have simply let something slip. Generally when posts are deleted, an explanation is sent to your email address associated with the GetSatisfaction account. Whatever it was I didn't catch it and am pretty good at picking up on bombshell info unintentionally exposed so probably wasn't a biggie or at least nothing I didn't already know or deduce on my own ;)

I've gotten a few of those notices but not because my post was deleted directly but because it was a child of the one actually deleted (like this one if your post I'm directly commenting on  here were deleted) ...

Don't fret over it in that sense, keep posting good info from a dealer's perspective...

I did get an email explaining why, thanks Old Labs. Curious explanation however, I gave the same answer I was TOLD to give to a customer but it's not allowed here.

the reason I went over now was because when I upgraded I had already used 48 gig from my old plan so that was taken off of the 150. It is all ok I was just curious about the speed. I am real glad for this internet after trying some of the available options to me here this is by far the best.
