My new modem is on the way. I changed my plan to the gold unlimited 150. Will it work under the new viasat 2 or the old viasat 1?

You'll be on Viasat 1!!

Viasat 2 isn't in service quite yet.  Were you to be under VS2, you would require a new modem, transceiver, and a dish re-point.

All reports on here are that the unlimited plan wifi modem is Via-Sat 1 only Via-Sat 2 needs a completely different triangular shaped modem and a different TRIA on the dish.  I too have been waiting and am just about at the point of cancelling my via-sat1 unlimited plan upgrade, just got off with live chat customer service, mine is still on back order, no ETA on ship date.  May I ask when you placed your order?    I have been waiting since December 7th or 8th.

In September i ordered an Iphone 8+.  They told me I would get it the following week, three weeks later it was still out of stock.  I cancelled the 8+, and a few days later ordered the Iphone X, got that in four days.

At this point, I would cancel my order and wait to see what V2 has to offer you. Then after reviewing the plans you can make an informed decision.

It will only work on Viasat 1. Viasat 2 requires a different modem, which won't be available until Viasat 2 goes live.
