New 25Mbps Wifi Modem Traffic Question - Intranet Home Network & Data

We received our new Exede 25Mbps Wifi Modem, and our prior modem required us to have a TPLINK Archer Wireless Router in order for us to have a home wireless intranet. Do I need to reconnect the Archer in order to prevent data usage when we connect from one home device to another (think AppleTV to local NAS to watch shows downloaded elsewhere)? I logged into the Exede wifi modem interface, and because there is no logging/monitoring tab or interface, I can't tell how much data is actually passing through the modem or if this is even a problem.

Hi J,

Once you connect the WiFi modem, you will be able to connect wirelessly.  Take a look at your Exede usage meter on the customer portal to see your monthly allowance to track your usage.

Yes, you may want to hook up your NAS to capture your data usage.   The WiFi modem does not have the capability to track each device and how much data is being used by each.
