Ever since my initial installation (07/11/15), I have experienced short-term interruptions of my connectivity. This happens several times during a week, and sometimes several times during the same day. In all cases, it lasts for less than a minute. Here is what happens:
I'll be using my computer on the internet - browsing, banking, email, etc. when all of a sudden I am no longer connected. Pages fail to load, I get errors related to connectivity, the wait circle goes on forever - that kind of thing. The 4th light (network-bottom) on my Exede modem will be off (Sunbeam 2 RM4100), the power light is solid on, the transmit light is normally blinking, and the receive light is normally solid on. Usually, within a minute, the network light will start blinking and then go solid, and I'll be back online.
It is not weather-related, and I am not under any restrictions. While it's not a deal-breaker yet, it certainly is frustrating, and, depending on what I was doing at the time, it can also cause concern about the state of financial transactions.
My Exede modem connects to a Linksys E1200 router that also has ethernet ports. I have 2 desktop systems nearby that connect via Cat5 cable, and I also have some devices (laptops/phones) that connect via wireless. My home network has been set up this way for years, and I never had any home network issues with my previous satellite ISP.
Does the switching off of that network light reflect a problem with my network or Exede's?
