Netgear R7000 - Command Injection: can the same thing be done to the Exede modem?

The page at https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/40889/ shows an exploit that can be embedded in a web page which, when visited by a computer, will compromise the router and/or broadband modem that connects that computer to the internet.  The exploit shows how to compromise a Netgear R7000 router.  My question is: can the Exede modem be compromised by this or a similar exploit?  Does the Exede modem even have a cgi-bin folder (i.e. does http://192.168.100.1/cgi-bin even exist)?
