need to buy more data for online class

We have exceeded our data plan & I signed up for an online class, which occurs daily & includes videos. I believe we have 12 more days before this cycle ends & we have the band width we need for me to participate in these classes. Which data plan do I buy to get me through the next 12 days so I won't miss my classes?

You should be able to go to your Exede dashboard and either buy more data or switch the plan to one that has more (priority) data.  See which would be cheaper, puchasing additional G's or upgrading your plan to one that has more priority data.

If you can't do it online for some reason give them a call.

Good luck.

cgsal, I don't know what plan you are currently on,but if Liberty plans are available to you, they would be your best bet. On Liberty, once you use your data, you go into the Liberty Pass mode, which is basically unlimited data at speeds of between 1 to 5 Mbps, depending on how busy the traffic is on your particular beam. I have the Liberty 10 plan, and have been more than happy with it. I am currently in the Pass mode, and have no problems watching videos and doing my surfing.

I would suggest starting out with the Liberty 10 plan, if you aren't happy with how things are loading during the pass mode, you can always move up to a higher data allotment.

I have a question since you seem knowledgeable. Do the Liberty Pass plans have free zone?

The Liberty plans provide a data allowance (10, 12, 18, 30 GB) at full priority speeds (up to 12 Mbps or 25 Mbps dependent upon the beam you're assigned to). After exhausting that speeds are lowered to the 1 - 5 Mbps range dependent on current network conditions - Liberty Pass mode. The Liberty Plans do not have a free zone (see

cgsal, but also, if you are possibly interested in a Liberty Pass plan, be aware that there is no late night free zone, and that you cannot return to a previous classic plan if that is what you had before you change to a Liberty Plan...

You should go to the exede website and read the details about the Liberty pass plan VERY carefully before making a decision....if you live in a very congested beam, and your class takes place between the hours of 5p and midnight, your speeds on the liberty pass might drop below what you need to view your class--won't be able to be 100% sure since the speeds vary with congestion on the network and what your usage is.
