Provide us with your location and you may get a more targeted response.

It's my understanding Liberty Plans are only offered on Viasat-1 and not Viasat-2, individual results will vary greatly but...

During non peak usage hours (0600 - 1500 M - F non holidays) on Beam 329 in Virginia while on Liberty pass I get between 5 - 6 Mbps.

During the Free Zone regardless of priority data status (0300 - 0600) , I consistently get well above 12 Mbps and frequently approach 19 Mbps.

During peak usage periods (prime time) speeds can become very slow regardless of priority data status.

Beam 329 has generally been considered overloaded in the past, but I'm not sure if that's the case any longer because just recently Viasat opened the beam up to Liberty Plans again after a lengthy absence of no plans at all.

Switching to a Liberty Plan can make sense if you have the flexibility to shift your usage to non-peak hours (at a much lower cost for Liberty 12). Your prime time usage will be unchanged except for even slower speeds on Liberty pass as you keep getting bumped to the back of the line.

Could be a couple of different ones based on the Viasat-1 beam map and exact location:

But my results may not yield same experience for you.

Tough to tell from the map but puts you around the borderline of Beam 333 and Beam 334. Let's see if anyone around Florence has a first hand Liberty experience to share.

But yes, that's the way the Freedom Plan works - you're severely throttled for the remainder of the month once you go over the 150 GB hard cap. While throttled with the Liberty plan it's not as drastic and your traffic is also deprioritized against other users. The advantage to Liberty is during non-peak usage periods you should get better speeds than Freedom. Liberty also provides a 0300-0600 free zone at full speed regardless of your usage and data used then doesn;t count agaist you priority data,

Some will advise you to never give up the Freedom Plan - and you might do better to manage the data better and not go over.
