if you can get decent cell coverage in your area atleast 1-2 bars on your phone you can look into a verizon jetpack for 60 a month , probably better than what you have

Thank you. I checked them out and went with the unlimited prepaid for less then I'm paying viasat. Im so excited I can't wait to cancel. My date usage went from 3.4 to used up over night. Another good reason to switch. Thank you again !!

If you have been with them for more than two years, you should be out of contract.  Call to cancel service and see what they say.  If you have another phone number,  you can always set up new service using it and then cancel the old service!

Assuming there is a 25Mbps plan available to you, upgrading to that (or moving to Viasat-2) will get you a new modem.

I called to ask about this, was told it would go up from $70 for Bronze 12 Unlimited to $150 for Silver 25 Unlimited even though it was advertised at $100.

Well it is advertised for $100 for three months.

Everyone needs to pay attention to the fine print. The devil is in the details and that is where they get you.

Viasat also advertises free standard installation on my broadcast TV ads, then you go and check all the zip codes the ads reach and standard installation is $150. I wonder what the explanation is for that?

No, It is advertised at $70 for three months then up to $100. They said it was because I had purchased the equipment instead of leasing.

You mentioned two different plans (Bronze and Silver), and the range of prices for them, in your prior post.  ExSat was referring to the latter, which is advertised at $100 for three months, then goes up to $150.  The $70 then $100 and $100 then $150 for the Bronze and Silver plans, respectively, are the prices I have at my location for leasing.

PlanPricePrice after 3 months
Unlimited Bronze 12 $50/mo.$70/mo.
Unlimited Silver 25 $70/mo.$100/mo.
When I called to Upgrade to Unlimited Silver 25 the rep told me it would be $150 per month because it would go through Sat2 system.

The prices of the named plans are variable, depending on location.

Just another stupid thing Viasat did to confuse, alienate, and anger customers.
