Modem Upgrade not here

Tried to upgrade my plan about a month ago.The only thing I have to show for it is a box that says my request is pending. Now I know that everybody is supposed to be hopefully waiting on some second satellite, but meanwhile my family is out of data and haven't received any update or consolation as to our account. Is there anybody taking care of customers at all? I don't think that Viasat wants my business.

I’m not a fan of how ViaSat has handled the great modem shortage of 2017/18.

Unfortunately we are in the middle of a modem upgrade backlog with an ETA of 4 weeks to get the upgraded modem (our demand definitely outpaced the supply). Unfortunately not a lot that can be done in that instance. If you are close to that ETA at this point please email us at Viasatlistens@viasat.com with your contact information so we can see if the modem has been shipped locally yet. 

With that said, you will not be charged or anything until it arrives and the transition is complete.

So as a true lover of conspiracy theories, what’s the eta on modems for ViaSat 2 after plans come out?

those are going to be different modems/equipment all together. We're ready for ViaSat-2. Its just once unlimited was offered a lot of people that wanted to change were still on our non-WiFi modems so that ate a lot of the inventory.
