I have had Exede for 3 months. I told the rep we do no movie downloads, no online gaming.  I use it to browse the web.  We have ran into the max usage every month.  There are 8 days left and once again we are out.  I called in again to get ZERO help.  I was told we use it all from 5 a.m to 12 a.m.  Well thank you for narrowing it down.  As if I couldn't figure that out.  I have asked what it could be and get NO help.  I was LIED to when I signed up for this.  VERY UNHAPPY!!  No one is home from 7 - 5.  Most evenings gone.

Do you leave your computer on and running while you are away? Do you have any apps like thermostats that are internet connected? Something is running while you are away. Try making sure that your computer isn't downloading automatic updates while you are at work. If you have wi-fi, your neighbor could be stealing your internet if you don't have your router password protected. Just a few ideas for you, I have six computers (Macintosh) and usually only have to buy another 1 GB at the end of every other month.

Turn your router off when you're not using the Internet. It's worth a try.

I think people sign up for the service not understanding what 10Gb is. It's not much in this time of hyper bloated website content.

Do you use Facebook? Logout when you're not using it and disable play videos automatically.

I do not have a router, but disable videos on your computer!! Even though you do not watch them, if you do not disable, you are still charged gbs. Also I turn my modem off every night & when I am going to be gone during the day. Mine is still slow, but I have the lowest package deal. I hope theis helps you.

You have something(s) using data. You just have to find it or them, which can be a challenge. Our Exede has two people browsing and reading all day and we can squeak by with 10 gigs and do good with 15 each month. ANYTHING extra and all updates get DLed in the LNFZ, though.
