Hi. I have consistently low speed. I'm paying $60/month for speed that is 1.6 download speed. Is there anything you can do from your end, such as either boosting the speed or lowering my monthly bill?? I'm not kidding!

Are you on a Liberty 12 plan?  Speeds such as 1.6 mbps are perfectly normal if you have used all of your priority data.

I'm talking about before priority data is used, and it doesn't depend on time of day. It's just slow all the time.  Thanks.

There is definitely something wrong if the fastest speed you can get is 1.6 mbps, even while you still have priority data.

I am on a Liberty 12 plan and my billing cycle just started.  My current speed is 8.6 mbps which is perfectly acceptable considering I am paying for up to 12 mbps.

Are you using one of the newer modems that has wifi built in?  There have been reports of issues with the wifi causing slower speeds.  If thats the case, try plugging your computer directly into the modem and running a speed test again to see if speeds increase.

It depends where you are located, beam congestion etc.  I have143 Gig left this period, and i just tested at 2.1.  Last night, 12.5.   So if you sometimes, other than prime time, get good speeds, i'd say 10+ down, your system is probably ok.  Congestion, many users, like today, a weekend expect slow speeds.

I do agree with Stephen, generally, all things being equal you will probably stand a better chance of getting faster speeds with a wired Ethernet connection.  However the biggest speed issue for most users is congestion and we can not do anything about that.  V2 will hopefully improve this situation.
