Hi Debra,

You can call us at 855-463-9333 as the issue is happening and we can pinpoint why this is happening. You're also more than welcome to email us at exedelistens@viasat.com and we can see if we can see why this is the case but more often than not calling as the issue is happening especially if it's late at night and outside normal business hours the call will most likely be a better way to troubleshoot this issue

i also have been reporting this same problem, everything is green,no congestion,no maintence,no weather issues all green but yet my speeds are between 1-4mbps download and upload is normal, plenty of data left and also is that way on late nite free zone and usually 30mins before but now it has got worse and is also affecting daytime. this is a indication of being throttled and is not rite since we still have data and free zone should not be throttled anyways.

Josh, the free zone is not being throttled, just being used heavily for massive downloads by people. There have been some reporting on the other forum that they typically will download large games, and will use 400 to 500 GB of data in a month. Many people are using download managers to download Netflix, Hulu and other TV and movie services. That definitely strains the network during those hours, and now that school is out, there are many more kids using the internet at all hours of the day. It is just something that we have to  learn to live with if we want an internet connection.

I understand but the difference in congestion would be spikes in it, the upload is pretty steady and normal but the downloads flatline as the other guy had mentioned at 4mbps. I was told many times if my speeds are  under about 8mbps there is definitely issues. I should never seen 1-2mbps and think it would be acceptable. pretty simple to adjust the speeds to make up for "congestion" also most of the time now the congestion is not lit up. so that only leaves throttleing. when everything is green there should be no reason for 1-4mbps. and as I said before its usually about 30mins before free zone starts.
