How can playing some Solitaire, looking at pictures of my Grand-daughters on Facebook and now and then use g-mail use 70% of my data? Microsoft (or you) have been doing random/monthly updates - are you/they using up my data?

Hi Kathy,  If you have Windows 10, there are updates and it uses quite a bit of data.  See this link for help

Kathleen, even if you use another operating system, that as well as many apps or programs on your computer and other connected device can do automatic updates, send files to cloud storage, even do an online backup if you don't turn those off in the settings of each app or program.

time to do the Ethernet test :)   go to your myexede dashboard refresh to see where the data is, leave your modem powered on, remove the Ethernet cable from the back of your modem, leave it off as long as possible(longer the better) then check the myexede dashboard from public wifi or a cellphone data plan to see if any of the data was used. if it has then the problem is on their end, if it has not used any data then it is on your end.

Kathleen....James says that all the time to everything.  Pay no attention to him.  He says the FBI has an old ladies unplugged modem at their offices downloading data that should give you an idea.....This should be laminated and hung on the walls of Exede for a good laugh...

"I know an elderly lady rite now that has plenty of proof. her modem has been unplugged for 6months and when it is checked from the dashboard every month the data is still being used. more people have solid proof than you might think. and her installer is also helping her prove this and the modem is in custodey of the local fbi so that there is no way it can be being used at her residence .and yes they check her dashboard also and see her data has been gone every month even while they had the modem at the local office."
