I've been complaining about this since I've had it. I agree, if the tech can see your daily usage so should you.
I'm supposed to get 12/3...but since the NEW plan they started capping my speed when it get around 30GB.
I didn't know exactly why until I saw that they had changed plans AGAIN.
Bill Date 24th.

Hello RickyP033, that sounds a bit odd. Please feel free to send your contact and account information to exedelistens@viasat.com so that we can take a closer look at your plan and data usage to determine if there is an issue with your data.

I agree.  For some unexplained reason, I used all 15GB of my monthly allotment in the first two days of the month.  Talked with customer support and the rep reviewed my usage and confirmed that it was legitimate.  I asked if he could allow me to see the data and his response was "No".  Out of the question.  I think I should be allowed to see "my data usage report" since I am paying for it.
So, what do you say to that Exede Champions?

I'd say you were talking to a clueless CSR who probably should seek (or be forced to seek) employment elsewhere regardless of whether outsourced or directly employed by ViaSat. At the same time, I'd reiterate that VIaSat needs to address usage monitoring more professionally - just as I've been saying that for nearly 3 years - the we're working on it reply is growing weaker with each day.

Perhaps that response will result in my blue loving cup being revoked once again.

P.S. For ViaSat once again, just expose the usage data and information via a web service, whether that be SOAP, REST, a CGI script returning POX -  there are plenty of us who can take it from there and provide everyone with something useful and be done with it once and for all.

Barring that just expose the modem's WAN statistics rather than the useless LAN statistics - even that would be an improvement.

Better usage monitoring is probably right behind the LNFZ indicator. I'm sure it'll happen any day now.

The fact that they continue to refuse to allow the customer access to charts of data usage based on how they are recording it continues to give the impression that they have something to hide.  When you ask for more information they still won't give you the detail you'd like to see, just saying you used 10 percent for this and 20 percent for that isn't useful.  I want to see the minute by minute or at least hourly chart showing when they say the data was  used and how much.  Sure, you can get a private data monitoring program to run on your computer but it still doesn't show how EXEDE is counting your data.  Verizon gives me access to minute by minute detail of my data and Hughes offers customers details on how they record the data.  I'm sure other carriers do as well.  Until Exede starts offering this information to the customers they will continue to have disputes and suspicion over data use.  Even though I am not having problems at the moment (knock on wood) I still wonder what they are hiding.  If nothing, then make that information available!

We are working on a new and improved usage meter that should be out later this year. The technical hurdles to doing this are significant, thus the delay.

You blog it they say send/write Viasat; they Close it. You ask for usage chart they say no or can't.

And it seems as though they change plans every 6 weeks or so...that is why they keep asking you which plan you are on.
