Issues with bill and payment

I'm pretty good at budgeting, and my Exede bill is the same every month: $90.51. I don't make a lot of money, but I made sure to leave around $96 in my checking account for the autopay for the bill. Come yesterday evening, I get an email saying my bill is $99.44. So I hurriedly try to get online and change my payment method or talk with someone from Exede before my account is overdrawn. Finally get a hold of someone, and they say that my account doesn't show a payment method. Alright, hopefully there's still time to change it before an overdraft occurs. I get home and change my payment method, at which point my account immediately shows that the bill was paid. I assume it's because I put in a new payment method.

This morning, I look at my checking account and it shows a negative balance because they overdrew my checking account. Even though my Exede account showed no connected checking account, they still managed to take money out of it. So I spoke with someone today about charging another payment method and refunding the money to my checking account. No can do, she said. Are you serious?

I don't get paid for another five days, meanwhile my checking account is sitting at a negative balance because these guys can't get their act together. Also what kind of company doesn't show you your bill until the DAY IT'S DUE? How can I properly budget for a bill when I apparently can't count on it to be the same every month?

Thanks for screwing me over, Exede. I suggest you make customers' bills apparent well in advance of the due date so they can actually plan on having the money to pay you.

And here I thought I was crazy. I'm so glad I know I'm not. I just went through that this month. Was it a annual property tax? I let csr know that if I had a bill to look at before they took my money I would have been prepared for the extra. I luckily had enough in my account to cover it. I am very budget minded too and I let them know I did not appreciate this type of service. It is poor cust.service and I work in the industry so I know how it works. Someone from exede will answer you and tell you you are able to see your bill online but it is not available until after they take your money. Im sorry you are going though this but unless we all continue to complain they will not change their way.

I have been going through the same thing Josh, Here is my solution do not give them a bank account or a credit card no. When ever has it been lawful to give someone money for a bill not generated yet? Do you go into a store and pick up items not knowing how much they cost before hand? Its bad enough that Exede has you pay for services not yet generated but they also shut you off during that month for whatever reason although its paid. I have tried to get Exede to send me a statement of dates and why service was cancelled although it was paid for. I also have tried to get exede to send me my useage and explain why and how I could use 15gb in 2 weeks time. Of course its always the same thing they need more information or I don't have a method of payment on my account. Or my routers not secure or netflix usage. Fine then show me that usage should not be that hard. You're darn tootin I don't give them a payment method because this company gives its customers the run around when they take to much or take it before they are suppose too, You can never talk to someone in charge and every time you call its a different state. So these fat cats in CO. are making money hand over fist and letting all the call centers deal with upset customers. Frankly I am done dealing with the call centers I want the bosses, boss. I bet the boss has no Idea what is going on and doesn't even care has long has he gets his checks. Please dont send me a standard generated email (Exede Kimberly Employee) on how you would like to help me fix this problem. The only way you can fix it is give me the big bosses phone number so we all can complain directly to him.

No Dorthy your not crazy, :)  My account has never been the same theres about a $10 range and this is why I changed things up.

I would like to share my issue I have had with them as well, I make my payments on time and before it even due. However when I made my payment in March with a Customer service Rep. I was told it went threw .! Two weeks later my service was interupted for non payment. I called them up and was told I owe them the amount for this months payment. I told them i made the payment with the customer rep. and there was no record of it being payed, Ended up having to pay two months of service to even get turned back on cost me over 145 dollors .! Oh and di I mention I dont recieve that much every months and The was I get paid is by having to call in to my job Its a EVV sevice and i have to Call in to clock in or Out , so lost alot of my pay check from them stealing my money and them making me pay for it again. If there was other options for me to get another company I would however where I am located I am over the barrel with options.!

His did you pay the first time? Do you have and kind of proof that you paid it? Like a credit card statement or authorization number or a ticket number from the phone call?
