I'm looking for the best internet for gaming online. I will be on it at less 12 hours a day.

In general NO. but there are exceptions. No fast-twitch games or games that up-load/down-load much. If you are seriously into gaming, you will probably not be happy with any satellite internet service. An "occasional" YouTube is fine - again watch how much it downloads and avoid hi-def.

You're welcome to try online X-Box style games with Exede but the latency inherent in satellite Internet makes it difficult to compete in many live-action online games. Some games may not work very well at all. We don't discourage folks from using Xbox Live, but the #1 issue with fast-twitch, first-person shooter games simply don't work well over any Satellite Internet solution. Games where you play online against other people like Call of Duty, Modern Warfare, Grand Theft Auto, sports games, etc, will not work....you’ll always get shot first, get scored on first, etc.

More consumers are using video over the Internet. Video uses a lot of bandwidth and for it, you can go through data quickly, if not monitored. Our Late Night Free Zone would be a good option for those who use a lot of video, otherwise we do allow customers to purchase more or choose from three different packages based on their data needs for video and streaming. Thank you.

Here is a link to the plan selector tool on the exede.com website. You can calculate how much data is used for common online activities.

For example: Video streaming
2 hours (SD) = 1.5 GB
2 hours (HD) = 4.6 GB

Hope this helps!
