Is Viasat 2 already having a positive effect?

Normally I only get speeds around 256k on the Liberty Pass during prime time. I just did a speed test, while streaming 80s MTV (YouTube) to my TV and got 2.2 mbps. Video is streaming perfect.

I wonder if Viasat has already switched some of their commecial and government customers to Viasat 2. It would explain why I am suddenly seeing really good speed during prime time.

Of course this could be a glitch. The thing might start buffering before i finish this post.

Right now I'm still rocking to Billy Idol. Amazing.

It was a result of air traffic being temporarily diverted around your beam's coverage area but it was good while it lasted I bet. Unfortunately incoming flights were placed in a holding pattern the next beam over and the interweb was unusable there.
