Is there a way where I can monitor my data usage?
I was using Liberty 10 and used 4.5 gb of data in the first ten days. Usually I'll go over close to the billing date I changed plans to unlimited data. on the 11th day I hooked up the new modem, on the 13th day the data allocation was at 8.5 gb, I watched my first Netflix movie on my living room TV with the setting of Low in Netflix account. the next day Dec. 4,my data usage was78.5 gb. I contacted Customer Service and he told me that there were updates that performed the previous day. There are other deices in my network, but I'd liketo know how come my Liberty 10 was not affected like the unlimited plan? and is there a way for me to actually see what's going on? Also my Ethernet data usage shows 12.35 gb for last 30 days

Get an ASUS RT-AC68U router or another ASUS router higher up than the AC68U.  They are all gigabit routers, the AC68U being one with 1900Mhz total bandwidth which is probably more than you will make use of for many years.  It is now the lower priced one since now they go up to 3500Mhz which you don't need.  The AC68U is the first in this series with the super-dooper firmware (as I'll call it) options available from Asuswrt-Merlin.  It can show you more information about what device used what and when on a daily, weekly or monthly basis than you will want to see.  It has a calendar you can click on to see what happened any day of the month by application or device connected to your network.

Want screen-shots?  say it and I'll prepare a slide show.

If you get a huge picture from clicking on one of these it's because I use a 4K monitor.  Hold the control key and rotate the mouse wheel to shrink/expand the pictures.   The M2 dish supplies a guest with Internet.  Wow...  Windows 10 AND Facebook!  (They gotta go soon).

If you get one of these....  Configure it the way you like and save the configuration to a file in your computer.  Every month, at midnight of the day your data re-news, push the reset button in the back of this router to clear all calendars and data.  Re-load your configuration from the file you made.  This will make it accurate every day and the monthly total will be on-the-byte accurate.  It only takes about 5 seconds to re-load configuration.

Just one more thing...  The Viasat data counter is always right, within 1MB !!

You're welcome.  I only showed the data use part.  There is also an "Apps" button up there to see what app(s) is hogging all your data.  It gets extensive and would take too many pictures.  Get one of these things and be prepared to be amazed.

If you got double-NAT errors before using other routers, fear not, this thing can take care of that.
