Is the only difference between the Bronze 12 packages the streaming quality?

Just looking into getting Viasat because it definitely seems like the better option between it & Hughesnet. I just want to make sure I know what I'm getting myself in to as a new satellite internet user.  There are 3 12mbps options for my area; bronze, silver, and gold.  They are all listed as unlimited but have different recommended streaming qualities: 360p, 480p, 720p.  Is this the only difference besides price?  I was just wondering what constituted the price change from $100 to $200. Thank you in advance for any advice or recommendations.

each one has more data till you become throttled. any streaming of video will attempt to be throttled by viasat to what it thinks each resolution will be. If the service your watching videos from does not or can not lower speeds to what viasat sets for it limits you will buffer. mostly only a problem with live streamed events.

If you are only able to get 12Mbps plans, I question if it is worth the price to begin with. What is your general location? New yo satellite internet. What do you have now?

That's kind of what I was thinking but our options are so limited.  We are located in SW Iowa & as far as I can tell, our only other option is Hughesnet.  Century Link doesn't provide this far out of town or else I'd go with them for sure. We currently don't have anything since we just moved to a rural area.

Based on your location I can't imagine your beam being as congested as other areas of the country. Hughenet can probably deliver "up to" 25Mbps for you, but I am not sure of the plan cost in your area. You might want to price compare.
