Is anyone else experiencing really s-l-o-w internet? I'm getting "Connection was reset as page was loading" error message consistently! Is wildblue cutting back on? My internet ping is 1500 ms and should be about 300 ms. What's up? I may have to get a different service. Anyone else?

Ron, are you on Wildblue or Exede? Normal ping is about 700 milliseconds, due to the location of the satellite.

I am on Exede's Liberty 12 - 10 GB plan, and am currently getting 21.3 Mbps. No problems here in central New York.

I have wildblue but isn't that also served by Exede? I have spent a small fortune trying to resolve the problems--such as, sites won't load, can't print, messages such as you are receiving about "connection reset during loading" , etc., etc., etc. I live where can only receive internet through satellite dish--limited options for services but am looking at finding a different internet provider besides Wildblue. Not sure if that will solve my problems.

The Exede and Wildblue services are two different products offered by ViaSat. Wildblue has been a subsidiary of ViaSat since 2009. Wildblue is the older product launched in 2004.

As far as satellite internet services go, you only have two real options ViaSat or Hughes. DishNet is actually one of those two simply rebranded by Dish. However, the Exede product isn't available nationwide yet. Wildblue fills the gap in areas where Exede is unavailable.

In addition to what Old Labs said, there are some wholesale accounts that we have with partners that handle everything with the account from the moment it's installed to the moment the account is ended...Billing, technical support, so on. On those we (or the rest of the Exede support office) have no access to those particular accounts. I'm thinking that's possibly what you are indicating by saying you have Wildblue that's not serviced by Exede.

Hello Ron, if you're still having the problems you'll probably want to call our support team at 855-463-9333 as the issue is happening to see if there's something on our end causing the connection issues. You can also email us at but it's a first-in-first-addressed setup so the phone number will definitely be a quicker way to resolve your technical issues.
