We just got hooked up a few days ago. Last night we had moderate rain and we could not connect with either computer but my iPhone could connect. Are there changes I can make to my computer settings that increase connection success?

I'd guess your phone is connecting on the 5.0 Ghz band of your router, while your computers are connecting to the 2.4 band.   You could consider purchasing usb dual band adapters for the computer, to allow them to also connect to the more stable 5.0 band.

Okay during the rain, was your iPhone using cellular data while the Exede modem did not have signal? That's possible if you get enough cell signal to use the internet on your phone without using WiFi.
