I hate doing the peak hours it’s get slow like this I hate slow internet connections and yes I ran out of data I’m on the Liberty 50 I just don’t know what to do now because it’s not worth to call Exede anymore because there anything they can’t do to help out with the slow f***** connection I’m just tired of it can’t wait until I get n a area with cable internet because when I move I’m moving to the cable internet that got better speed I don’t care if I’m still under a agreement because im not trying paying no cancellation fee it’s not worth it at all

Of course it's slow.  Everyone is on at the same time and they all want data.  Think of it as the water pipe coming into your house.  You can flush the toilet and run the dishwasher at the same time no problem.  But then someone jumps into the shower and turns that on too and what happens?  Water pressure drops and not as much comes out as only so much water can go thru that 1 inch supply line at any one time.

Same thing with the satellite connection.  Everyone wants to be on at the same time and everyone slows down.  And once you use priority data and go on Liberty you get what is left and at various times it won't be much and only enough to check your email or load a simple web page.  It is what it is.  If you don't like it you have to move back into town where you can get your cable Internet or fiber optic connection.  Life is full of choices to make and apparently you have chosen to live in an area where the other services are not an option.

I have made the same choice but for me where I live and being rural more than compensates for a slower Internet connection or I would move back into town as well.

The Liberty Pass isn't supposed to be fast during primetime. During those hours, you shouldn't expect any speeds beyond 1 mbps unless you have priority data left. My speeds during primetime on the Liberty Pass are around 256 kbps, sometimes a bit faster and sometimes a bit slower. That is what I am paying for so I have no reason to complain. It works exactly as advertised.

WELP!!! i sure hope you dont care about your credit score either :3 cause... when you dont pay any bills... itll go to the collections and it will go onto your credit score and it will be there until you pay it off :3 and so forth :3 soooooo........ i really do hope you dont care about your credit score going down :3 which will make you unable to apply for cable internet since all cable internet requires a credit score to see how good your credit is L:3 just so ya know L:3

Deku.....

That's the same guy that wanted someone to send him money to pay his bill and then trash-talks ViaSat.  No sympathy here for anything to do with him.

@Judge and Jury ummmm yeah i already like legit saw that when it came out XD i mean... if someone wanted him to send money... why dont he get his own fricking money that he has then pay it... like legit!!! even though i may not be working at all... (cause you already know my current sitiuations @Judge and Jury ) I LEGIT was looking for an internet provider... then... exede (it was known at the current time) said it wasnt avaible into my area... (cause i was spending like 100$ onto only 10gbs of data onto my verizon jetpack...) THEN!!! like 6 months later... i found exede (remember... it was called exede at the time) then i called up and asked if they provide into my area... they said yes they do... so they legit did a credit check on me... i told the representive... that i dont have good credit nor do i have any credit at all... so he said to me... well we usually do credit checks to see if you have another account with us... so he checked and he said i was able to get service into my area :D SOOOO!!! he gots me onto the avaible plan... which was like ummmm.... oh boy i cant remember!!! DX BUT!!! it was like 85$ into my bank account... so they setup the installations... AND AT THE SAME TIME DURING THE MONTH!!! i already was onto that jetpack!!! BUT!!! i managed to save at least... 85$ for some odd ball... SOOOO!!! my installation was like... 1 and half weeks before my payday... SOOO!!! I DESPRETLY CLINGED ONTO MY MONEY UNTIL IT WAS TIME FOR THEM TO WITHDRAW THE MONEY OUT!!! :D soooo after they did that... i upgrade to the freedom plan... THEN!!! to the current plan imma on right now :3 and now exede is now known as viasat now <3

LIKE LEGIT COME ON!!! IF HE NEEDED MONEY!!! GO TO A FRICKING FAMILY MEMBER!!! NOT THE FRICKING INTERNET!!! like... ASKING the internet to help ya pay your bills... LOL!!! XD I know WAY BETTER NOT to ask the internet for that... i mean... COME ON!!! ITS BASICALLY COMMON SENSE!!! (uhhh... IF ANYONE EVEN HAS COMMON SENSE THAT IS NOW A DAYS!!! i guess they dont XD  )

The solution is to learn how to manage your data so that you don't run out of priority data, and to do downloads during the free zone, or if you MUST have it fast, during off peak hours. Try some of the tips in this article.

I managed to use up all 12 GB of my priority data the other day which means I get to enjoy the Liberty Pass until my plan resets on the fourth.

The Liberty Pass offers speeds up to 5 mbps during the day. I've been working from home this morning and I am a very happy camper.

Of course, speeds will drop to something like 256k this evening, but that's the exact terms I signed up for.

No complaints here.

And here is my primetime speed on the Liberty Pass. This is the price I pay for using up all of my priority data.

No complaints from me. It's exactly what I signed up for.

Thanks to my Plex server, I'm watching Married With Children tonight without a single glitch.

And wasnt Liberry Pass sold as typically 1 to 5 Mbps?

Stephen is seeing speeds at what use to be the hard cap level.

It was until they changed it. Back when we were selling Liberty Plans, they all of a sudden slowed people down to 256k as soon as they went over. You couldn't even get Google's homepage to load half the time. I wasted several hours at a customer's house when this was implemented because we weren't given a heads up and I thought it was an equipment issue.

That didnt work too well.

I wonder if anybody still has it? Nobody that actually uses the internet to it's full capabilities I know!

Yea. It all depends on the time of day.

And Stephen continues to be a shill for a plan that IDK how many people have anymore. Many of us couldn't even get it if we wanted it.

The original poster states he has a Liberty 50 plan.

My experiences on Liberty 12 are similar to those of Stephen and MEM when priority data is exhausted. Basically as advertised but Bev nailed it on this one - if you've got a Liberty plan you need to manage your priority data allotment or learn to live with the limitations imposed by both throttling and prioritization. Liberty plans are in fact still being offered on some Viasat-1 beams (at last check).

Yes they are Old Labs. My area, 14821, central western NY, only has the Liberty 12 Mbps, 12 GB, 25 GB and 50 GB plans offered.

Sounds like Viasat-2 isn't offered at all there. Not even in large beam format.
