My son's school computer will not work from home and we have been told it is because our internet is too slow. Is this because we have a slower package and is there a faster internet we can purchase through exede?

Hello Michelle,

If your services are currently “dapped” You will experience slower than normal speeds.  If your services were dapped, this means you have used 100% of your monthly data allowance. Please send us your account and contact info to exedelistens@viasat.com and we can figure out what could be the problem with your speeds.

Consider Router Issues
A router can have a significant effect on the performance of your service. Since all devices in your home connect through the router, it can be the bottleneck that hampers your service -- especially if you have more than one user on your network simultaneously. To find out, connect your computer directly to your Exede modem, bypassing your router. If speeds increase and slowness issues go away, your router could be faulty or misconfigured.
