Installation issue

The sales man didn't tell us it was satellite internet or that it would be a 2 year contract. The installer came out and installed everything needed to give us internet and than left without telling us he was installing a dish. I was very angry when I saw it that night and I removed it. The tech electronically sign your signature to a two year contract without ever notifying you that there is or was a contract. This leaves us to pay for 24 months of cancelation regardless of a contract or not. Viasat sent us a copy of a contract with a typed signature. Not a digital signature. I also check my video cameras in my home to make sure we didn't sign anything and nothing was signed by us. In other words the tech illegally signed a contract in my wife's name. Viasat told us to bad and we are required to pay the cancelation fees regardless of a signed contract. I said I'd pay installation, to ship the stuff back, and the 3 hours of service but thats it. This is not how you run a legitimate business.

Pretty sure it is a felony to sign someone else name on a legal document without their authorization.

IF everything you say is true then go see a lawyer. By the time it is done, you won't even have to pay for the service call or to ship it back.

HOWEVER, the first question a lawyer is going to ask you is "What in the world did you think you were getting?"

No, it was a DirecTV provider at an event. We knew we wanted to switch tv providers but this was all smoke and mirrors.

Also, make sure you send an email to Viasatlistens@viasat.com.  Someone lied to you to make a commision.  The email address I gave you goes directly to corporate.  They will get involved and take action against the person who lied to you.  That email address is the best way to get this issue fixed.

Glad to hear it!  We will he happy to work with you.

No tech should sign the agreement on their own.  They should be clearing any installation options with you before they do anything.

Yes send an  email to  Viasatlistens@viasat.com.  They should be able to help you out and save you a lot of grief in the long run.   They have helped me out in the past.  I am sorry to hear that you were taken advantage of like this.
