Installation problem

Had I read this page before ordering Exede, I would have never ordered it.  Installation is handed to local contractors that are less than thorough.  No shows, no calls, missed appointments. I have a temporary installation on a tree. After chasing a installation contractor (Why is it my problem?) for 3 weeks I finally threatened to cancel my order. I was given a new contractor that started out good and showed up on time.  But wait. Its winter and ground is frozen and I can't make a permanent installation so lets just put it here on this tree for now. Call me as soon as the snow is gone I will come back to finish it.  2 weeks ago and up till now, I am once again chasing a contractor that won't contact me back and again, its my problem. Nothing wrong with the connection. (Yet) but heaven forbid I ever need service.  I am not totally surprised by contractors doing the job. But I am surprised by having to chase them all over the planet. The Last guy to contact me told me I had to dig a hole for a post so he could do the work?  Really? I suppose I need to bury the cable by myself, buy a post, align the dish and pray for a good permanent solution as well. Pathetic. This is one product that will never be recommended to any of my dozens of friends in the area. I will make sure they all know how crappy of job and follow through your "amazing" quality of experience is. As soon as I can find an escape of this contract I am out for good.

Anthony, that is not how Exede installations should work. You definitely got a BAD contractor.

You should not be digging the hole for the installation, that should be done by the installer, per Exede standards. Please send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com. Include your information, account number and a phone number, the moderators here will take care of this and get you installed properly.

while I appreciate the comment and the email. My confidence is pretty well shot.
I was aware of the "temp" nature of the current install. My frustration is follow through and lack of communications and the fact that I end up chasing crappy contractors around to complete this.  I was lead to believe this was all kind of easy and I have multiple calls and time into this and I am sorry but me having to dig a hole is just plain ridiculous.  If I am not contacted directly by someone who can make this happen I will be looking for refunds and breach of contract pretty quick.  If you can make an impact on this I will gladly continue on as a customer.
Thanks.

Hello Anthony

Sorry to hear about your service install issues. This is certainly not the impression we want you to have, the last thing we want is to lose a valued customer. Your installation should NOT have been installed on that tree, nor should you have to dig any holes for the pole if one is necessary. This is not part of our business practices. Please send us your account and contact information to exedelistens@viasat.com so we can get this issue escalated and resolved as soon as possible. Thank you.
