Yes it is a scam. Viasat/ Exede/ wildblue will never email you asking for that information. Secondly if you click on the link it looks like wildblue login but the address is actually some fake site. So again do not give them that information. I would forward that email to so they can forward it to their security team to try to get it blocked.

I have received the same kinds of requests asking for payment information for bank accounts and credit cards or the Exede/Wildblue services will be discontinued within a specified time period. Today is the fourth one I have received like this. I have deleted all of them and submitted no information. My question is: Why are these kinds of requests coming now when I have never had them in the past? (That is before this migration of email to Zimbra.)

Phishing attempts are nothing more than spam with malicious intent, and in this case they're simply trying to take advantage of the fact that many ISPs were forced to new email platforms with Google's decision to drop the Google Apps for ISPs program and the inevitable user confusion that has resulted.

Email platforms such as Zimbra are at a disadvantage until they are conditioned to recognize spam. Rather than simply deleting them, report them as spam and you'll help Zimbra to learn their fingerprints and do a better job in the future.

I don't use Zimbra, but typically it's just as easy to report as spam as deleting - it usually consist of selecting (highlighting) the email message and either clicking a different button or right clicking on the message and reporting as spam (both options typically will not only report it but delete it at the same time).

Eventually the email platform will be able to detect email having the same/similar signature and characteristics. If everyone reports them as spam the quicker the learning process for the email platform.

Phishing attempts are particularly troublesome since there's malicious intent. As Diana notes below they should probably be reported to ViaSat also by fowrding a copy of the email (including its header information) and there are other steps that can be taken to report them specifically (prior to deleting). See:

P.S. In the case of the original poster's attempt the link was to web site forgery and if enough people report it as such (often available through your browser and requires extreme caution if clicking the link) many browsers will offer further protection until it gets shut down.
