I'm paying alot of money for your best data plan and it sucks

I rec'd a new modem mod #RM5110 a few weeks ago. I thought I could install but can't. It doesn't set up like previous model. I have 2 separate accounts and I don't know if this was for the 50GB account or the basic account. I'm experiencing difficulty with downloading, playing back and recording movies either on demand or pre-recorded. I'm also having problems accessing the internet on my iphone and PC using the 50gb account. I've reset the current modem numerous times as well as the Direct TV box but nothing resolves the issue. Obviously, I need some help.

Are you using viasat modem or off self modem? The off self from store will not work. You will have to use viasat modem.

So, which account did you upgrade or have a problem with the equipment?


1). Need to sort the modem issue per account either through electronic agreement paperwork or by calling customer service.


2). Then you need to sort which you are trying to connect to wirelessly. You didn’t say if they are both in range simultaneously. Assuming both are WiFi modems (but probably not with a basic plan).


3). If the modem works at all (ie. getting service), it is set up correctly. The only thing you can do to it is change some settings on the router which I don’t recommend and set up private wireless networks.

4). You didn’t give enough detail with the Direct TV boxx to be sure what you are trying to do with it.
