Does Exede have a usage meter that you can download and have in the taskbar to keep a close eye on remaining usage?

This doesn't really answer my question. Is what Exede classifys a GB 1024 MB or 1000 MB. It makes a big difference when your dealing with 10-15 GB.

I know AT&T Mobile uses 1024 MB as 1 GB. And HughesNet considers 1000 MB as 1 GB with their service!

To answer the first part no, not as of yet. They have said tjeu are working on a bunch of stuff to come later this year some related to data meter and counting but nothing official or spefics yet. Now their are programs you can get and wireless modems you can get that help with all that. I know most Asus wireless routers have a data tracker built in and you can get the program satellite restriction tracker which pulls from exexe servers. And the second part I don't really know I'm guessing 1024 but don't have that info.

I look forward to later this year when they release the new features.

I currently have bandwidth meters on my computers. But these show only the data on each computer. Plus shows all other data being transfered from computer to computer so don't give an accurate reading of data downloaded.

I will have to look into the asus routers that feature sounds cool!

What do you mean by program satellite restriction tracker? Is that something that can be used with any router?

Thanks

Satellite Restriction Tracker will work with any router...it simply logs into your usage account at the interval you select in Options and retrieves actual usage directly from the source, and it maintains a small icon in the tray near your clock...a mouse-over the icon will display the latest data from it's last update..go here to download it...it's a free utility..
