Upset about early disconnect fee

I signed up with Exede through the local company, Microcom, and the internet service was terrible. I called the local company, like it says to do, and they came out and the service tech told me to disconnect, that i would never be able to get the service like it is supposed to be, so i did. Now Exede is charging me an early disconnect fee, when their own tech told me to do so???? what am i supposed to do now?

So, you got sold service by a local dealer, who, by their own admission, they should have never sold you in the first place (presumably to get paid for doing the install by both you and Exede), and somehow you blame Exede for this?  Sounds like your local dealer defrauded both you and Exede.  Your issue is with them, not with Exede by agreeing to provide you service in good faith that you'd (and you dealer) would live up to their end of the deal.

They do tests before any contract is signed or equipment is installed to be sure you can receive a good signal.  If the test result is poor, they never should have installed it.  You should get refunded every penny, and I would report that local company to the BBB.
