I recently moved and the plan I had before I moved was a special... , but Excede will not honor that now that I moved... Very UNHAPPY!!!

I recently moved and the plan I had before I moved was a special, 20gb for the first YEAR then dropped to 10gb... I'm sure my past bills reflected this proof, but Excede will not honor that now that I moved... Very UNHAPPY!!!!

Hi Dale,
I have watched a similar deal come down from Exede. It was a woman who had the Exede plan, but had sold the house. The new owners wanted to keep the dish and whole system, and then take over the account, or signup or a new one.

It came down to Exede's Policy. They would not swap it, old to new owner. The original owner was told by Exede to return the TRIA receiver, but not the dish, in an Exede supplied special box, and ship it back in lieu of a charge for the disconnect/ stop service. Then the new owners would be required to order a new system, credit info & install. 

That's the story, it did not seem to make common sense to me, or several others, including the owner/ woman.

But since you have moved, your in for a NEW account at the new location. Maybe, if you signup for a fresh 2 year deal, they might give you the 20 or 10 for 6 mo. deal. Not sure? But I think it's still going on.

One of the Exede rep's will check into this post and give you more info.

Hello Dale, the promotional plans are only available in certain areas at this time. If the same plan was not available in your new area, it would not apply to your new contract. I would be happy to take a further look into this to be sure if you can send me an email to exedelistens@viasat.com

Yes I agree! I'm trying to be calm about the situation. I am just really frustrated. One of the reasons I decided on getting this internet service was because of the one year of the 20 GB... I have tried talking to them about this with no solution that I feel I'd fair to me. I don't thinkiI should be penalized for just ' moving'... I'm still very unhappy with customer service with this issue. Thank u for your kind response...

The deal with all of this I'd that no one had yo be hired yo do anything. Where I wanted the service was at my old address where all of the original equipment is still there! I was in Virginia and moved to Delaware and tried yo get it installed there. The installer could not find a signal due to to many trees. So instead of canceling my service I just let my ex have the service back. So I did not need any installers. They only had to walk him thru setting it up over the phone.
