Probably quitting the forum. I doubt he would give up Viasat as well as his service works.

@Stephen Rice

Is you're dish aligement not showing accurate points? What time of day do you use your internet? Is the weather clear? It could be peak hours on you're beam. Is there a network congestion in you're area? If you reached you're max data cap. Then it could also be the cause of the slow speeds. Did you recieve the new Network Policy changes? It tells you what the Network Policy Changes do and how they could affect you're services.

I am having great speeds on my Liberty 12 plan. even when I was on "the pass" last week, speeds were in the 8 to 9 Mbps range, including during the evening time.

So much for quitting.

I unplugged my Viasat modem two weeks ago and have been using my Cricket hotspot up until just now.  My hotspot comes with 10 gb of data, and after that speeds are supposed to drop to 128 kbps.  When Cricket says 128 kbps, they mean business.  I couldn't even get Testmy.net to load.

I guess this means I'm back.

I might switch back to AT&T dsl after my Viasat contact expires in August if AT&T gives me a new customer discount but honestly, my Liberty 12 plan works fine. I just don’t like the direction this company is going.

You and me both.

But they are looking for $500 million. That loan is secure, so throw them a few dollars!

You all are quite fortunate to at least have alternative options to satellite. I, however, am stuck with holding out hope for Viasat 3 or the LEO companies to bring me some relief.

As more people leave Viasat, you should get better speeds.

I have been using my Verizon prepaid unlimited for 2 weeks now with great results. However, I am not shutting down my Viasat account right now, I am 6 miles from the nearest tower, not line of sight due to hills between me and the tower, so I am waiting to see how the signal holds up once the leaves come back out. I did switch from the Freedom plan to the Liberty 12GB plan, which cut my costs in half. Time will tell if the wireless will work well during the summer months.

Leaves are not as issue for me.

My Verizon prepaid has blown Viasat out if the water this month. No comparison.

If course other peoples results may differ. I can only speak to my experience, and for me, I now have the best internet service my home has had yet.

My guess is they'll just fill up the subs that leave with new ones. Eventually, many beams will be oversubscribed once again.

FWIW, I do enjoy having you on here so I'm glad you're staying with us. The gaming on Viasat video you made was passed around
