Got a new PC ..and I can not get anything to download and searching the Internet is extremely slow. I have been using this system for 10+ years and it has never been updated or repositioned..could that be the problem ?

10+ years, are you still on WildBlue, a legacy account? If you are over your data limit then that would be very slow and, videos will not stream properly on a slowed Legacy account - never did for me when I had it.
You might need to upgrade to Exede if that's the case. If you do have Exede, and still have the old WildBlue modem, that definitely needs to be corrected and, after a decade, you might also need to have the dish realigned.
I'd suggest getting Easy Care to make the service call you might need a lot easier to afford.
