I just upgraded my Exede service to the Liberty 12 plan. Now my phone's wifi won't work.

After hooking up the new Exede router which has a wireless wifi system built in I can't get my Galaxy 4g s6 phone to find the wifi connection. I use to use a Linksys router for the internet with Exede and all my devices were able to connect. I have my phone set to use the wifi whenever available so I don't eat up my data but now it won't recognize the router I just hooked up.

I don't believe it's a problem with the new router because when I started up my laptop it found it immediately I entered the password and I'm in. I believe it's a communication problem between my cell phone and the router.

My thought is...can I hook the old router into the exede router so my phone can use wifi too or is there something better? I don't want to mess up the connections with conflicting router addresses.

I have already tried to change the wireless frequencies like the instruction book suggests and it messed my computer up so I went back to the original configuration.

Any suggestions are welcome Thank you in advance,

it was a mess i sent it back hooked up the old modem and keep the freedom plan  that works best for me

That sounds like a great fix, but I already sent the old one back.

Hi Susan,  I'm not sure why the Wi-Fi modem is working for all your devices. Here is a link that may help.

Thank you for the response. The modem is hooked up correctly I had a technician from the company do it, he also fine tuned the satellite to get a good signal as well, we are minus one large tree but it's going strong now.

Now here's another strange addition to the situation. I enabled the ability for guests to use it should we have company that needs internet connections and guess what... my phone saw it right off. So I am now a guest with my phone at the house.

It has to be something simple I just need the time to call the Techies at Exede. And hopefully get one that understands what i am talking about.
