I have no wyfi

I thought my old router may be bad so I bought a new one, it is supposed to be faster also. Netgear AC1200. I can't get it to work either. what should I do, can I get help?

Is your modem online? Plug your computer into your modem using an Ethernet cable, and look at the modem statistics page. http://192.168.100.1/?page=modemStatus

Does it show that your  modem is online?
