I have had no email service for the last few days. Can you tell me why?

I am getting no emails, neither is my husband. Stopped a few days ago. This has happened before but always came back in a few hours.
We are told all data used up just a few days after our bill is paid. Internet extremely slow.

Being over your data allowance should not prevent you from receiving email, it may prevent email from loading on a client such as Outlook or Thunderbird. Can you get email by logging in to the email portal via your browser?
